Motivation and Goals

The declared goal of AZKIM is to establish a well-founded integrative medicine (conventional medicine in harmony with complementary medicine) in Baden-Württemberg in the sense of the "WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy 2014-2023".

The center will advance basic and clinical research in KM using state-of-the-art scientific methods and develop concepts to place the knowledge gained in university education and training and to enable better patient counseling.

AZKIM creates a sound knowledge base to enable patients, physicians and politicians to make evidence-based decisions.
